Our Christmas was wonderful this year. We continued with our normal routine of going to Grandma's on Christmas Eve and having Craig over on Christmas morning to join in the excitement of Ian opening his gifts. However, we spiced it up a little by having breakfast at The Hulin's on Christmas morning. The boys had fun playing video games while the women cooked breakfast. Grandma made milk gravy...and it was sooo yummy! We ha d a White Christmas, which was very beautiful. Ian played and ran in the snow with Uncle Zach, Daddy and I. We had a blast!
Now that the Christmas holiday is over, maybe I can get my house back in order.
This week has been a long week so far. We had a delay at work on Monday, so I had to come in on Tuesday (my day off) to make up time. I really wish I could have slept in, but I left work at 10:30 and had a nice lunch with my hubby at Olive Garden. After our meal, I took Branden to his dentist appointment which was no where near being fun. He had his top teeth removed and a denture put on top. He was and is in a lot of pain. I hope he feels better soon!

The Most Wonderful Time of the year!

A lot happened over the weekend!
Friday night Branden, Ian and I accompanied Susan, Billy, Zach, Berkley, Brayden, and Jennifer to dinner at Golden Corral to celebrate Susan and Billy's marriage. That's right...they finally did it! After dinner, Branden, Ian, Zach and I went to Randolph Mall to do Christmas shopping and then we headed home for some R & R.
Saturday morning we awoke early (Thanks to Ian) and had breakfast at Susan and Billy's. Then we all went to Brayden's basketball game....which they kicked butt at! Way to go Brayden! After the game, Susan and I went to the mall and the boys went shopping for trucks. Our shopping trip was cut short when Branden needed my opinion on a truck and my intimidation skills for the sales person. Needless to say, we bought a new truck and got a very good deal! My hubby was happy for the rest of the day! Sunday afternoon we had dinner at Pioneer with Branden's softball team (Start-N-Over/our extended family), for a very good cause. We adopted a family in need, and provided Christmas for them this year. The family that we adopted consisted of a single mother of three children. The mother has had cancer for the second time and is currently in the hospital. The children are living with a caregiver who has children of her own and was not sure how she would provide for her own kids and her "extended family" this Christmas. The team stepped up to the plate once again!

Merry Christmas!

It's my favorite time of the year. It's almost Christmas! Only 8 more days until Santa makes his stop in Thomasville. Ian is going to be so excited! I cannot wait to see the sparkle in his eyes on Christmas morning. This time of year is busy, but I am loving every minute of it. I had the opportunity to go shopping with my Mother-in-law this past Monday. It was a blast! However, Branden and I still have a few more presents to buy. Ian and I wrapped gifts lastnight, while Daddy was at work. Well, maybe I should say that I wrapped gifts, but Ian participated by drawing a picture on each box before handing them to me to wrap. We had our Christmas pictures taken on Tuesday in front of Pamela, Chuck, and Alec's Christmas tree. I was impressed with the outcome eventhough, Ian was more interested in playing video games with Alec than taking a picture with Mommy & Daddy. Imagine that! lol

Sigh of Relief!

The first semester of Nursing School has come and gone. It was a long, tough road but I made it. I passed the first semester with an average of 85.3 and I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks (Christmas Break). I intend on spending time most of my spare time with my hubby and Ian bug. I have missed them this past four months! There is a lot happening in our family this month. Susan and Billy are getting married! After 16 years of putting up with one another, they have finally decided to tie the knot. I am really happy for them! My Ian Bug is potty training at daycare and we are starting at home too! Branden is having some dental work after the Christmas holiday and then it is back to school in January. January brings a new year, and a new semester of Nursing school...but until then, I am going to enjoy every minute with the ones that I love. Merry Christmas!
