2 years and counting!
The calendar is marked as our two year anniversary!
I honestly cannot believe that we have been married for 2 years...time flies when you are having fun! Wow, as I look back on my life....I can reflect on and relate my life to one bible verse.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope". In my heart, it is my son and my husband, that give me hope, strength and will power to move on into an uncertain future!
Branden had to work today, but Ian and I were at home in obvervance of Memorial Day.
Ian and I played, watched cartoons, vistied with Grandma Liz. Today was a good day! Ian was overwhelmed in looking for ways of pushing Mommy's buttons..... just to see what he could get away with! I wonder who he gets that from??? lol
When it was time for Branden to come home, we opened the front door and waited for him to arrive. Ian was so happy when his truck pulled into the drive way. We went out to meet him, and I was surprised too! Branden came home with 2 flowers and a card.
Happy Anniversary to me!
It was kind of cute b/c he said....I wasn't trying to be cheap.
2 flowers=2 years together.........How sweet!
I also gave Branden the card that I got for him.
We ordered Ruby Tuesday since we had a coupon BOGO. I just love these kinds of deals :O)
We had dinner which included Ian stuffing potatoes up his nose!
Bath time and pajamas soon after
Night Night Ian!
Finally, Mommy and Daddy had a chance to have a little time together.
Unfortunately, Branden had found some notes from his deceased mother that were hard for him to read. Her story was heartbreaking. Once we consumed all of the info, we sat down and watched a little tv and goofed off!
BTW-My husband thought it would be really funny to point the remote at me and say "Hunny, I'm not sure what is wrong with the remote, but mute isn't working". Seriously.....He knows me better than that! I never shut up :O)
Today, was overall a WONDERFUL day!
Wow! What a week :O)
5/28/10
Friday, was what I consider a partial day of relaxation! I worked 7am-11am and then headed down the highway in hopes that the sun would stay above the clouds. Mom and I laid out by the pool until 2:15 and then headed to pick up my little man. When we turned into the parking lot at Kid City, Ian's class was on the playground. Can you guess where he was? He was riding on the "John Deere Tractor" and grinning at a little red head! I don't know what it is about red heads, but he loves them! Then it was Mickey D's and back to the pool. Nathan and Tim joined us and we all had a blast. Nathan loved the sliding board and thought it was the best thing since "sliced apple pie" and Ian had a fun time trying to decide if he was going to "jump, jump" from the deck into the pool and into Mommy's arms. Well, The FUN was over. We headed home to wait for Daddy. However, Ian was so tired that he fell asleep four minutes down the road. Oh, how I love quite time!

Happy Hump Day!
~My day started early again today, I had to be at work at 7am.
~Work was okay, but I was in and out of meetings all day.
~I met with one of HPFI's largest customers today...I think it went pretty well!
~The girls in Customer Service showed a little leg for NEOCON...Thanks for the pictures Tom.
~I picked my Ian Bug up from daycare and he had a note that said:
"These pacifiers were hiding in Ian's cubby, but since he doesn't need them anymore...you can take them home". That's right! My Ian bug does not have his paci anymore! Yesterday 5/25/10 was the first day that he went without it.....ALL DAY! I am soooo proud of him.......He is turning into a big boy :O)
~Ian and I stopped by Hinkle to see Daddy and then took a little trip to Uncle Craig's while Daddy was mowing the lawn. (Ian did not like Teddy, Craig's dog)
~Mommy and Ian went home and prepared dinner, loaded the dishes into the dishwasher, folded laundry and played a little baseball too!
~I want to know why my child thinks EVERYTHING is all about BASEBALL!
~Bath time for little man, then The Backyardigans and The Wonder Pets.
We decided to let him stay up a little longer tonight.
~Ouch! Why do I continue to get cramps in my feet?
Tonight I learned that I should drink a teaspoon of vinegar each day to eliminate cramps. Thanks for this info Grandma! BTW- Thanks for the box of cheesecake too, I am sure it will be great for snack day tomorrow at work.
~Thought of the day-
Slow down, down dance so fast! In other words, take a look around and enjoy the things that you have in your life. Don't dwell on the past or take life for granted. You should be thankful for what you have and remember that "It is the little things in life that make it all worthwhile"
Little kisses and hugs from my little man are all I need to make my day!
I have been blessed with a wonderful little boy. Mommy loves you Ian :O)
Night Night!

The MOMENT I've been waiting for!
~This is the moment that I have been waiting for! I know it's kind of silly but, I don't get to watch a movie in the theater very often. I am really looking forward to tonight. I cannot wait to put on my pj's, lay in bed and watch Dear John (Channing Tatum is easy on the eyes!)
~I started my day today earlier than most. (Up at 6am and at work by 7am)
~Work was kind of slow today, which was fine with me....I needed a break anyway.
~Left work at 2pm to take my Ian bug back to the doctor...He is still pulling at his ears, but they should be better by now!
~Ian was not happy about the Doctor's appt, he screamed from the moment we entered the room, until it was time to go! Once he was back in my arms, he decided to give the doctor a high five. What is up with that?
~BTW- His ears have cleared up, now it's just teething that makes him so fussy!
~Ian and I visited Grandma and Geraldine, Daddy came later.
~Mickey D's for dinner and then bath time.
~Cartoons and bed time.
~Ok, Ok.....Time to watch my movie! Whoo Hoo!
Update:
The movie was an awesome love story, but I really didn't like the way it ended!
Who loves someone like that and then just walks away?

Don't sweat the small stuff!
~This morning we awoke and got ready for work and got Ian ready for daycare.
~When Branden stepped outside, he had a flat tire!
~I simply took Ian to daycare, and Branden caught a ride with a co-worker.
~2 Corinthians 4:17-18
" For our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever! So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever".
~Had an interesting day at work today, picked Ian up from Daycare and headed home!
~2 tires later- Branden's truck is back in business, but my checkbook has a headache.
~I am praying that I will WIN the Lottery! lol
~I enjoyed time with my Little Man after his bath!
~We played, sang songs (ABC's and If you're happy and you know it...Clap your hands) and we watched The Backyardigans (Ian's favorite show)
~8:30= Ian's bedtime (He went down without a fight...he was so tired)
~I had to make a run to Walgreens....Got milk?
~Finally home for the night!
~ I believe that Forrest Gump was right when he said "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get".
~On another note, I have learned that it is your life...so you should live it to the fullest and without regret!
You are my Sunshine!
~Ian let us sleep in until about 9am
~We had breakfast and went to the grocery store
~Played BASEBALL....of course!
~I Made a NEW dish for lunch (Broccoli and Chicken Casserole)
Yummy, Yummy to Mommy, Daddy and Ian's Tummy!
~We splashed in the pool at Uncle Scottie's with Nana and Zach. (It was a little Chilly)
~We made it home and out of the car, just before the rain started. Daddy and Ian rushed inside, but I stood there for a few minutes, taking it all in. Immediately, I thought of something my friend had said to me, she said "Life is not about surviving the storm, it's about learning to dance in the rain". I am lucky to have someone like her as a friend....I love you Steffie!
~I have learned that there are times in everyone's life when they just want to give up, but through inspiration and faith they keep on going. Through personal experiences over the past 2 weeks, I have come to the conclusion that you do things you have to do, and you also do things that you want to do, from the kindness of your heart. Remember, that you get back what you put in!
~Enchillada's for supper again....Gotta Love leftovers
~Bath time for Little Ian
~The Backyardigans and Bed time!
~Branden and I had a conversation tonight about how lucky we really are! We have been through some rough times over the past 6 months, but in the end we realize that we have been truly blessed. We have our health, a beautiful little boy, a roof over our head, clothes on our back and food in the fridge, and most importantly we have the love of one another and the love of our GOD! What more could we ask for?

Whew.....That was a close one :O(
The day at work was fine, with the exception of my wisdom tooth hurting...I am in pain and need to have it extracted ASAP! One question though, will I lose my wisdom without that tooth? Why do they call it a wisdom tooth? Makes no sense to me!

What I love about Sunday!
This morning, I awoke to my son singing his ABC's.
What a beautiful sound that was!
I hate to brag, but he is the cutest, smartest and most loveable person in the world!
(Just like his Mommy)
Well, Ian was up and out of bed, so my Mommy duties began.
We started the morning with a diaper change, cereal, and cartoons (Max and Ruby).
Then, we called Grandma Liz (hoping for some gravy), but that didn't work out so well.
Her response was......Hardees has gravy! (LOL...Gotta love Grandma)
Approx. 30 mins later, Daddy got up and Ian ran to him for hugs and kisses!
Daddy and Ian took a short trip to Uncle Craig's, giving Mom a few minutes of peace. I knew it was too good to be true when Ian brought home a "southern noise maker" (20oz. coke bottle filled with rocks) Thanks Craig!
The boys came back and my TV time was officially over. It's BASEBALL from here on out!
Around 1pm, Ian went to his Maw-Maw's while Mommy and Daddy grabbed a bite to eat and ran some errands. A couple of hours later, we picked Ian up from Maw-Maw and Na Na (Nathan) to learn that he helped them plant tomato seeds. What an adventure that was for my Ian bug! He was so excited that he had his own shovel and rake.
On the way home, Ian had a meltdown. It was definately nap time! After Ian had his nappy nap, we had corndogs for dinner and then bath time. We watched Blues Clues for awhile, then off to bed.
Good Night and Sweet Dreams!
:O)
Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh My!
Branden and I enjoyed time with our little man by taking him to Asheboro Zoo. We woke around 7:30am and got dressed and ready to go. We left home around 8:45, accompanied by Andy and his daughter Kaylin. We stopped for a quick breakfast and then we were off to the see the Elephants and Giraffe's (Kaylin's favorites). Before entering the zoo, we took pictures with the Elephants and managed to survive without being tampled on. We then arrived at the North American entrance. After standing in line for 20 minutes we were told that we had been standing in the wrong line. Apparently zoo members get special treatment and have there own single line. Who would have known?
Finally, we enter the zoo! The kids were really excited about seeing the animals, but Mommy, Daddy and Andy were exhausted and ready for some AC! After a long hot day of zoo animals, pushing a stroller for 500,000 miles and dealing all of the people stopping right in front of you.....it was TIME TO GO! Before leaving we stopped in the giftstore. Ian got a cute little stuffed frog (we call him Kermie) and Kaylin fell in love a giraffe (who doesn't have a name). Kaylin melted my heart when she wanted to spend her birthday money to get her big sister Gabby a blue dolphin. This was the sweetest thing ever!
Well, now that we are exhausted, hot, and ready to go we decide to take the shuttle from Africa back to the car in North America. Apparantely, everyone else had the same idea. We were passed by 2 shuttle's before loading, but we eventually get to ride in an un-conditioned shuttle.
Whew! we made it to the car, get the kids in the carseats and are ready to roll.
Can someone please tell me why everyone is staring at us????
A Flat Tire!! Are you serious??
Yes, we have a flat tire that has to be changed before we can go home.
Thirty minutes later, one child is asleep and the other is throwing a temper tantrum.
Can you guess which one it is? Yes, it's my Ian bug!
Ok, the tire is changed and we are on our way home.
Thank you Jesus!
