Well, Last week was a long week!
I had my usual work schedule and made an appearance at the County Health Dept to get my TB skin test Friday afternoon. Shortly after work on Friday, I was scrambling to get food ready for our cookout that was planned by my hubby and his friend John. We had several people over including Misty, John, Jaylin, Berkley, Jenn, Brayden, Craig, Jaylin and Kayden. After supper, I stuck to my schedule by giving our son a bath and tucking him into bed. I was exhausted, but still entertained while Branden and John sat outside and drank GOD only knows how many beers. It was almost 2am before I got in the bed, but I enjoyed talking to Misty.
Saturday, Branden was up bright and early for another game day. Ian woke up right after he left, so we got up and ate a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and played a little. We were still tired so we took a short nap and slept til 10. (I enjoyed every minute of it). We took a bath and headed to Grandma's for a cookout in Franklinville. Carolee (Grandma's sister) was 87 years old. Ian had a blast running up and down the wheelchair ramp, and another little boy turned on the roto scooter and ran over a plate of bananna pudding and almost ran over a little girl before it was stopped. It was only 2pm and a HECK of a day.
On the way home, it rained so hard that I could not see 2 feet in front of me! Needless to say....we parked in a parking lot for 20 mins waiting on the storm to pass. Branden's games were cancelled, and he was on his way home too!
Later that night, Branden and Ian were playing in his room. Ian was jumping up and down and jumped right into the corner of the dresser. He gashed his head open and Branden started freaking out. I checked him over, cleaned it up and realized that it was not deep enough for stitches. Thank you Jesus!
Ian stayed with Grandma and DingDing (Geraldine) for a couple of hours while we had dinner with April, Chad and Dave for Chad's Brithday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYFRIEND!
After dinner we headed to Grandma's and found Ian fast asleep on her lap...He was so tired. We took our little man home and put him to bed. April, Chad and Dave stopped by and stayed for a little while, but after that it was lights out for me!
Sunday was okay, Branden let me sleep til 12:50. Once I was up, I headed for the shower. Branden left to go play basketball with the boys and Ian and I went to Grandma's. We made steak, potatoes, green beans and salad for dinner. After dinner we headed home, for our usual routine. Night Night Sweet Boy!
I laid down, watched Army Wives and hated the thought of work on Monday.
