It's been a while!

I have been very busy, so it has been a while since my last post.
In the last couple of weeks, a lot has happened. My High School friend, Talia Leonard Oxendine was laid to rest. May her family and children find forgiveness in their hearts and remember the good times that they shared with her. Branden and I reunited with old friends, Misty and John who have a precious little girl of their own. We also shared the 4th of July holiday with friends Andy, his daughter Kaylin, Steve and Alicia. Just this weekend we took a trip to Myrtle Beach, for Branden's softball tourney which was his first weekend back in the game. There were no broken bones, so I think we did okay! However, checking into the hotel or not checking into the hotel was a nightmare! We had been in a car for several hours with 2 cranky kids who were just ready to get some pool time, and I had to argue with the hotel manager.

Finally, we were checked in and by the kiddie pool.
Ian and Nathan had a wonderful time and I enjoyed watching them.
Oh....to be a kid again!

Branden played ball all day Saturday, so the kids and I took a trip to Build A Bear, where I spent $90. Who knew that 2 stuffed doggies would cost that much? We went back to the hotel and played in the pool and splash park, then headed upstairs to get ready for an afternoon at Family Kingdom. Ian and Nathan rode rides and Nathan got a tatoo. Yeah, that right....he got some new ink! (as he called it). We played several of the games which Nathan was very good at. I think he won a prize everytime. After all of this, we headed to Mickey D's for some food. Ian ate all of his fries on the way back to the hotel...so he must have been hungry. It started to rain, and Branden's team lost so we headed upstairs to the bowling alley and arcade. Whew! Sunday morning....I was ready to come home! I think I need a vacation from vacation, but atleast the kids had FUN! :O)
